The age limit for candidates applying for civil constable positions in Uttar Pradesh has been a topic of recent debate. According to a notification, the age range for candidates is between 18 and 22 years. However, a legislator has requested a relaxation in the upper age limit, seeking a three to five year extension.
In response to the request, BJP leader Singh highlighted the lack of recruitment during the Corona period, which has led to an increase in the age of eligible candidates. He emphasized the necessity of providing an opportunity to those who were affected by the pandemic.
In a letter addressed to Chief Minister Adityanath, Singh urged for additional age relaxation of 3-5 years to safeguard the future of the state’s youth. The request comes in the context of 60,244 vacancies in the police service, with specific quotas for various sections of society.
The debate surrounding the age limit for civil constable positions in Uttar Pradesh reflects the broader impact of the pandemic on recruitment and employment opportunities for the state’s youth. The request for age relaxation is seen as a necessary step to address the challenges faced by young individuals during the Corona period. This issue has sparked discussions on the need for flexibility in recruitment criteria to accommodate the unique circumstances of the past year.
