JAMMU, Dec 27: To address the issues faced by establishments and employees, an awareness programme called “Nidhi Aapke Nikat 2.0” was held today in Jammu.
The session was inaugurated by the Regional Provident Fund Commissioner, Rizwan Ud Din, and special invitee Naveen Babu, ED, IRCON.
During the inaugural session, P F Commissioner Rizwan emphasized the need for more employees to enroll under the P F and Pension Fund, citing recent accidents in UT of J&K where insufficient P F contributions were made by employees/employers.
He discussed the importance of social security and highlighted the key features of the Employees’ Pension Scheme, 1995, and the Employees’ Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme, 1976, both of which have been extended to workers in J&K and Ladakh since November, 2019.
The workshop, which lasted for more than an hour and a half, provided a platform for P. F. Commissioner Rizwan Ud Din to address the issues faced by establishments and employees.
The employers of M/s. ABCI Infrastructure were directed to resolve their employees’ issues in a timely manner and to promptly deposit their employees’ P F contributions.
Additionally, the grievances of members whose P F had not been deposited by the employer of ABCI Infrastructure were addressed, with the employer being directed to resolve the grievances and submit any necessary changes to their UAN.
P F Commissioner thanked SDM Zahir Abbas Bhat and employers acknowledged the efforts made by the P F Commissioner and EPFO team.
The program was attended by senior officers and approximately 80 major contractors of IRCON, as well as a program in ALC Complex, Skampari, Leh.
