An exciting opportunity has arisen at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST) in Mohali, Punjab, India. The prestigious institution is seeking highly motivated and bright candidates for the position of Project Associate-1 in a research project funded by the Department of Health Research (DHR) and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
The chosen candidate will work on the development of nanostructured MoS2 based SERS and FET biosensors for ultrasensitive detection of biomarkers for Cerebral Ischemia. The project is headed by Principal Investigators Dr. Rehan Khan (Scientist-D) and Dr. Kiran Shankar Hazra (Scientist-E).
The position is open to candidates with M.Sc./M.Tech/Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences Degree in Pharmacology/Biotechnology/Chemistry/Nanoscience and Nanotechnology with NET/GATE qualification. Additionally, one year of experience in nanoscience and nanotechnology is desirable.
The selected candidate will receive a fellowship of Rs. 31,000/- per month, with an additional allowance for Housing Rent Allowance (HRA) if applicable. For those without NET/GATE qualification, the fellowship is Rs. 25,000/- plus HRA.
Interested candidates are invited to attend the walk-in interview on 4th January 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Sector 81, SAS Nagar, Mohali-140306, Punjab.
It is important to note that the position is temporary and on a contractual basis, co-terminus with the project. However, candidates selected for this position may also apply for the regular PhD program at INST if they meet the eligibility criteria.
